BMW 3: Route
Concept
The route criteria can be individually adjusted.
The settings are stored as standard and automatically
applied to new destination guidances.
Set route criteria
1.
Press the button on the
Controller.
2. Move the Controller to the right.
3.
"Settings".
4. "Route settings".
5. Select the desired setting:
- "Route type"
- "Fast": time-optimized route, being a
combination of the shortest possible
route and the fastest roads.
- "Short": distance-optimized route, being
a combination of the shortest possible
route and the fastest roads.
- "Energy-efficient": efficient route, being
a combination of the route requiring
low consumption and fast roads.
- "Dynamic routing": the dynamic destination
guidance takes Real Time Traffic Information
RTTI into account in the route
calculation.
- "Highways": highways are used or
avoided wherever possible.
- "Toll roads": toll roads are used or avoided
wherever possible.
- "Ferries": ferries and car trains are used or
avoided wherever possible.
- "Carpool lanes": carpool lanes are used or
avoided where possible.
- "Area to avoid": activate or deactivate
areas to be avoided.
Set destination guidance
1.
Press the button on the
Controller.
2. Move the Controller to the right.
3.
"Settings".
4. "Guidance settings".
5. Select the desired setting:
- "Automatic guidance detail": automatic
destination guidance features.
- "Guidance detail"
- "Detailed"
- "Reduced"
- "Gong"
- "3D intersection view": selected route
sections, for instance major road intersections,
are shown in perspective view.
- "Additional information": display additional
information, such as tunnels.
